About the same time I started learning about self sustainability and the importance of it, I also found myself tired of wasteful living and being totally out of touch with God's 2nd most beautiful creation. So, I went back to the earth. I started composting food scraps and yard waste for my garden. It proved so successful,  we needed to preserve our home grown food. So we learned canning and dehydrating. Jay is an avid hunter, so we ditched store bought beef for venison. Then, we got chickens.  One thing led to another, and we realized we are doing this! We are modern day homesteaders, and we couldn't be happier!
